It’s International Stuttering Awareness Day!

I know that fluency is an area that many clinicians feel uncomfortable tackling.  Not only does it require more counseling than most areas we typically address, it seldom follows a nice progressive upward trend of improvement.  We’ll see it get better—often much better—and then it might suddenly be worse than it was when we even started.  In addition, these kiddos often remain on our caseload for longer periods of time, even if only to monitor.
