Three Year Olds

Little ones can be a little harder to understand at this age because they will talk about things that aren’t in the room. They are using position words like “in,” “under,” and “on.” They have an understanding of opposites and are following 2-step direction. This is when you start getting lots of “why” questions! Three year olds will speak in three words sentences most of the time and can be understood by caregivers 100% of the time. Unfamiliar listeners will understand 75% of what is said.
