🎄 more overwhelming smells (like Christmas trees and candles)
🎄 twinkling lights
🎄 extra treats
🎄 special events
🎄 disrupted routines

"Fun" and "festive" can still take a toll on developing or neurodivergent systems!

Let caregivers know that progress in December may look like a plateau as children navigate learning in addition to the sensory load. Provide them with tips to help minimize the overwhelm.

The news reported a poll that seemed to suggest grades don’t reflect performance according to grade level. Well, they don’t. It’s the with therapy.

We create achievable goals for a set period of time. We don’t necessarily have age expected skills as those goals.

While it’s appropriate for us to work this way we need to make sure caregivers understand the difference. Communication is always key!

Spending the last three months with too many balls

Spending the last three months with too many balls in the air has me sliding into Thanksgiving break looking like a leftover Halloween zombie. Very grateful my school is closed all of next week.
