New Blogger Link-up and Guest Post contest!

New blogger baby

Here I am, ready to celebrate my 3rd blog-iversery!  Last year, I gave new(er) speech bloggers a chance for some exposure and I’d love to do the same this year.  So….here we go!  If you have been blogging 18 months or less and are interested in entering my “New Blogger Contest,” leave me a comment letting me know, and I’ll contact you directly so you can send me a link to something you are particularly proud of or something you’re currently working on.  I will select one blogger as the winner and your post will appear here in the next few weeks.

In the meantime, please link-up below so we can see what you have to offer!  Feel free to link your general blog URL or a specific post.  You have until July 27, 2014 to link.  Good luck!

For you experienced bloggers (or language lovers), check out Weird Al’s newest parody, “Word Crimes,” the SLP song of the summer!

I’ve been blogging all of 2 weeks! It’s a a big step, yet super exciting. The ideas keep coming and I hope some day I’ll be celebrating a “bloggy birthday!”

  2. Although technically I have been blogging for about 18 months, I really have not been consistent about it. One of my goals for the coming school year is to feature a minimum of one post per month. I have a grueling schedule 10 months of the year–full time with the school system, on-call 5-6 evenings/week at the local acute facility and on-call sporadically at the local SNF! So, it IS a challenge to maintain, but like most SLPs, I’m goal-oriented!! BTW-I’ve been an SLP (both medical and educational) for 30 years and have written posts from both “sides of the fence,” so to speak. 🙂

  3. Thanks for the link-up! I started Speech Sprouts blog last month and will be talking about tips and ideas for speech therapists, PK and early elementary teachers. I love using rhymes and awesome children’s literature to teach speech and language skills. I teach a group pre-school therapy program where we do circle and centers all based on intensive sound and language awareness. Love my littles 🙂 Come by and visit!

We’d like to take part in this. We have been blogging for 12 months now 🙂

  5. Congrats on another year and thanks for celebrating it by having this link up! I’m Trina and I’ve been blogging for a little under 18 months. I am an undergrad and found that most blogs were written by grad students and clinicians. Although they are very helpful, I thought it’d be a neat idea to write one from the undergraduate SLP student perspective. 🙂 So here I am giving advice as I find information, which is sometimes helpful for grads and clinicians as well. I also write about random language related things that I find interesting as well! Hope you enjoy!

Hi! I joined this wonderful group of blogging SLPs last April. I love the resources and insight that everyone shares! I’d love to be considered for your new blogger post 🙂
